Overview

Aegis Co., Ltd. has established a gemstone and jewellery division, based in Tokyo, Japan. The division was established in 2026.

We source loose gemstones and jewellery within the Japanese market and supply them to trade partners in Japan and overseas.

We operate as a wholesale supplier to the trade.

What we do

Sourcing in Japan

Loose stones and finished jewellery acquired through the Japanese domestic market — retail counters, dealer markets, trade fairs and direct purchase.

Wholesale and export

Supply to trade partners overseas, with an initial focus on Hong Kong and the wider Asian market.

We work with partners on a consignment (memo) basis where appropriate.

Jewellery retailers across Japan

Our sourcing partners give us access to approximately 2,200 jewellery retailers across Japan. Rather than depending on a single supplier, we draw on a nationwide base.

Japan holds a deep and long-established stock of gemstones and fine jewellery in domestic circulation. Working across the country rather than through one channel gives us breadth of material — in stone type, size, quality and period — that a single-source supplier cannot match.

The company

Aegis Co., Ltd. was founded in Tokyo in August 2022. The company began in digital marketing, building and operating social media and affiliate businesses.

In September 2024 the company was granted a Secondhand Articles Dealer Licence by the Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission, and began trading in pre-owned goods on the Japanese domestic market that October. That business continues today.

The gemstone and jewellery division, established in 2026, extends an existing licensed trading operation into a new category.
